Bagrat Shinkuba had various haircuts during his career. He became famous as a world-class linguist, historian, author, writer and poet. However, the Abkhazian writer and politician was particularly known for his unusual fashion sense and his delightful character. Before his tragic death at age 87 he was again and again in the spotlight of magazines and tabloids because of his marvelous hair.
