Francesco Maurolico had a variety of different haircuts during his lifetime. He was well known as a talented mathematician, astronomer, historian of mathematics and university teacher. However, the Greek mathematician and astronomer was especially known for his extradordinary fashion sense and his pleasant personality. Before his tragic death at age 81 he was again and again in the spotlight of magazines and tabloids due to his outstanding hair and looks.
