Mircea Eliade had a variety of different haircuts during his career. He became famous as a great anthropologist, writer, diplomat, historian of religion, historian, journalist, novelist, philosopher, essayist, playwright, educationist, university teacher, literary critic, biographer and mythographer. Nevertheless, the Romanian historian of religion, fiction writer and philosopher was especially known for his unusual sense of fashion and his charming personality. Before his demise at age 79 he was repeatedly talked about in tabloids because of his exceptionally hair and looks.
